- Principles of Canine Behaviour. This Unit explores an overview of dogs in human society: challenging the dominance myth and exploring how domestic dogs really fit into a human world!
- Factors Affecting Canine Behaviour. Just like us, dogs are affected by diet, stress and the environment, however this is often misinterpreted by owners who blame the dog for misbehaviour. This Unit examines these fundamentals of canine behaviour.
- Principles of Learning Theory. The psychology of how dogs learn in easy to understand terms with practical applications. Human/canine interactions how we can avoid common misinterpretations.
- Introduction to Canine Aggression - cause, effect, management and resolution. This Unit explores the human role in prevention and treatment.
- Behaviour Problem - Assessment and Methodology. This Unit examines professional approaches to solving behavioural problems in dogs, techniques and assessment. The student will be presented with a behaviour case on DVD.
This course is for anyone who wishes to further their own knowledge of canine behaviour and training, either to expand their skill base or as the start of a whole new career.
